Best equipment?

I am installing a new lawn sprinkler system... I will be using an HAI Omni Pro II automation system to control the sprinkler zones. First, does anyone have any experience using this system to control lawn sprinklers? Good? Bad?

Next, I have gotten different advice from everyone I ask about what the BEST quality heads and valves are to use... is there a consensus as to the top quality vendors for heads and valves? I want this to last for a long time without having to replaces heads every year.

Lastly, are most systems all piped with 1" lines poly pipe? Is that standard? Is it the best way to do it?

as for your controller i have never used one like that but i love the hunter products for sprinklers and irritrol valves.
