Why do you need a remote? One reason is to troubleshoot solo without having to continuously return to the controller but why from in the house. I don't have one and wonder why I would ever really need one except to stimulate the economy. Aloha

lehua13, I'm disappointed in your reply. They're usually helpful but this one implies that since you don't have one, you can't understand why someone else would want/need one. I have a few reasons for wanting and even needing a remote but I'm fairly certain that my questions can be answered without having to explain WHY. Even if I didn't have a NEED and just WANTED one, it's my prerogative to stimulate the economy. Do you have anything you don't NEED? Of course you do.
Hopefully someone else will reply that has something of value to add.

I had my Roam remote installed early afternoon and I'm already in LOVE with it! Right now I'm just running stations manually. I'll set up a program or two later. Came in handy doing some checking/troubleshooting and not having to walk back and forth to the controller box...MS, heat, wet grass and poor balance can make for a dangerous stroll thru the yard. Guess I'm a little TOO carried away with my new remote. Accidentally took it to dinner with us tonight instead of the cellphone :o
