dcalemmo, I cannot help you with well-drilling and the regulations which might exist in the particular area you plan to do business.
Basically, treat the supply line from the pump as you would the town water supply. The major difference is that with the well, you want the pump to start and stop at the beginning and end of the irrigation cycle. Use a timer that has provision for a "pump start" connection. It might be necessary to install a 'pump start relay' between the timer and the pump motor. Ask a competent electrician.

We have a well here at my home tied to the lawn watering system. One important feature you should consider is a sediment filter to catch the sand particles. I bought mine at Lowe's for about $25. I flush it out about once per month.

Also, I use a pressure tank instead of the the pump start relay. I like the ability to use the well water for hand watering and other purposes.

i have installed hundreds of irrigation systems--on wells--town supplied--and lakes---you must know how many gallons per minute the supply line will provide--regardless of the type of supply--on wells find out the size of the pump from the company that installed it---homeowner sometimes are wrong!!!---and do a timed test yourself with 30# pressure line and 5 gal. bucket---then zone it accordingly
