Rainbird maxi paw and mini paw not turning

I had a Rainbird maxi paw installed with the default attachment. At some point it stopped turning.

I thought it might have been due to lower water pressure on top of age of the sprinkler head.

I replaced it with a Mini Paw that said it was designed for low water pressure. I replaced two others that had stopped turning at the same time.

It worked when I tested and calibrated it. It worked the next morning. It hasn't worked since. Unfortunately, I recently seeded, so I'm going out and manually tripping the switch for 8 minutes twice a day until I can get back to HD to return it.

The other two bought the same day work fine. The only difference is that this one has 4 heads on its station versus 3 on the others. But it fails even at times of fairly high water pressure.

Is this just defective, or do I need to switch to a different type of head? Will a gear driven head work better?
