replacement for Rainbird Maxi-paw with short radius?

I have Rainbird Maxi-paw impact rotors. I replaced a broken maxi-paw with a Hunter PGP-ATR (with #7 nozzle) -- super easy to replace, just unscrew the maxipaw and screw in PGP-ATR. And I love how quiet it is. But, the radius must be 22' or less. Here is what I tried:

* old maxi-paw with blue nozzle, adjusted radius to 22' -- works, but noisy due to impact rotor

* pgp-atr with #7 nozzle, adjusted radius to 22' -- shoots out a mist of water instead of a stream

* pgp-atr with #3 nozzle, adjusted radius to 22' -- grass under that sprinkler doesn't get enough water

Any other options (besides digging up the maxi-paw and completely replacing the head)?
