which drip tape?

Hi Everyone,

I'm fairly certain I'd like to switch from soaker hose to drip tape, but I'd like to make sure I have the most durable drip tape -- not interested in having it as a yearly disposable system. Does anyone have experience with more than one brand? Someone posted back in 2007 that there was a definite difference between brands, but didn't elaborate. Any advice?

If durability is your aim then buy the the thickest wall drip tape you can find from a reliable manufacturer. Like John Deere and others. Also look at the way the move out of the tape. How calibrated the flow is per pressure rating. Make sure you regulate to the proper pressure for the tape rating. aloha
