Should I save the water from my dehumidifier to water my plants?

I'd imagine the water removed from the air in a non smoking environment would be relatively pure compared to tap water in NYC. Hell, I'm thinking of using it for my fish tank's water changes as well, though I'd have to do further research on that. With the weather's heat and humidity we've been having here, there's plenty of condensation on those coils. I've been dumping at least a 2-3 gallons a day, if not more.

Seems pretty good in theory, has anyone ever practiced this before. I can't possibly be the first to think of it.

Stay cool and be well,
Elliot
