PVC watering system with rain barrel

| I want to set up a gravity flow drip irrigation system for my blueberry bushes and raspberries. Its on a slight slope around 10 or 15 degrees downhill. If I layed out all the pvc connected it all with T fittings and capped it, would it work well by drilling small holes. I could run the pipe directly inline with the rows and place it just under the ground say an inch deep. The pipe itself would run right next to the bushes. I have some 55 gallon barrels and I know that I should get a much larger container. That would be ideal. I could also blow this thing out in the winter with an air compressor. I know this concept works well above ground. For asethic reasons would be the reason for burrying it. |

| Hi Brandon, Check your slope again. Rise over run. 10 to 15% slope is steep. 1 to 2% slope is slight. You could experience soil erosion if too much water is applied in a short time. A 1.5% downhill slope will make up for pipe friction loss and give even flow rate out of the holes. JMHO. Aloha |
