Go to the valve makers / manufacturers website. Look at the particular valve specs. Should show min pressures.

I called Rainbird and they confirmed that their valves will require 15 psi minimum. I am certain all sprinkler valves share the same minimum pressure, for they are all designed the same: pilot valve leaking in/out pressure into the main chamber.

You may have a ton of pressure at your meter or main shut off in the yard. Irrigation companies usually come off the house because they don't want to dig the hole to the main.

Less than 10 psi is inherent to the water. It is artesian well and I was wondering if I could use the water for irrigation without buying a pump. Thanks for sharing the info.
