andedon, there are inline mesh filters which keep out suspended particles but not dissolved products. Indeed I doubt that any mesh filter will remove dissolved products. That would require a chemical process and the resulting water will probably not be good for plants. Using a very fine mesh as the main filter will block much of the suspended products but you will have to service it more frequently. Each spray head should have its own little filter (another opportunity for regular cleaning). You can prevent overspray from ruining walls by aiming the heads away from them and also installing backsplash barriers between the head and nearby walls. If you cannot avoid overspray on side walks or walls then it is best to set up a routine of pressure washing them every 3 months or oftener. Hope this all helps.

Thanks for the advice. Thankfully the areas that need to be irrigated are fairly square so we should be good as far as overspray.

I just installed a 100 mesh filter yesterday. I ran the line for a few minutes to test the PSI and GPM and it was amazing how much it picked up. We'll see how it does in the spring when hooked up to the system. Thanks
