What kind of well ya got ? Maybe the rope is slipping if you got one of those crank buckets.

I had the tire valve on my pressure tank develop a leak and thats what it did. Untill I yanked the bladder out and replaced the valve ... pia

Could be your pressure switch gone bad. Or thermal overload in motor.

Check the fittings on the suction (well) side of the pump - sounds like you need to re-pipe this side.

Just remember - if you're sucking air, you're not sucking water.

The same thing happened to me. My neighbor came over and removed the little screens from the sprinkler heads and it completely stopped. Also, you must make sure that you utilize all well faucets, if not, the well will "cycle" (turn off and on) which will overheat your pump and maybe fry it.

I have the same symptoms and remade the fittings twice today without getting water. I'm certain that my fittings are tight. Could the pump have been damaged (freezing)?
