| Been one of those days...
Two weeks ago an overnight guest sheepishly admitted that he accidentally flushed his toothbrush down the toilet. Of course I glossed over it, all the while asking myself how the hell that happens. I didn't want to know. While flushing up till now has been "lethargic," this morning Mr. John here decided he'd had enough with having an Oral B stuck in his throat. Can we say flood? Do you have problems thinking clearly at 5:30 in the morning while the coffee is still brewing? Know you have a plunger and an auger somewhere in the house (basement, attic, garage, workshop) but are clueless in a post-sleep emergency? Add in the girls barking to go outside and wee-wee and the parrot screaming his head off for breakfast, and I was about finished before I even started. Anyway, off to HD to buy yet another pair of toilet de-cloggers. Just had to enter through the nursery. All their annuals were stacked on rolling shelves--tons of flowers and veggies. Half of the toms and peppers had bitten the dust and all the eggplants. Obviously, they left them uncovered during the chill the last few nights and they succumbed. What is it with this? I see this every spring. Can't they hire somewhat-knowledgeable plant people to work in the nursery? Such a shame and waste. All those Ichibans! |

| Sorry about your toilet... I wonder what he was doing when it was flushed? I too can't stand to see the flowers dead on the shelves. |

| Karen: Well, the good news is that I managed to unclog the john and salvaged the wayward toothbrush which promptly went in the trash. Laying in bed thinking about this for the last two weeks, I've come up with two conclusions: He either had some "big O" moment with a molar or the itch from toilet paper lint finally got to him. In any case, I'm back to normal. Normal for me... Prof |

| This might help. Years ago (my dad's a prof) had a colleague stay over at Ohio State at our house. Month later, they get their phone bill and it's $100 plus. Turns out it's adult phone calls - wink wink. They were horrified and didn't want to confront their guest with the bill. (My parents don't drink and don't cuss). I am adopted. After thinking about it, they realized the exterminator had been there spraying for ants. They all had to leave the house. They called the exterminator company who immediately said - send us the bill, we will take care of it. Turns out the exterminator employee was going into homes and hitting phone porn. It wasn't the house guest! Toothbrush - probably cam't blame it on the ant guy. |

| I can relate Prof. I flushed my cell phone down the toilet last year. Turned around to flush, it fell out of my pocket, heard it hit the seat and bye bye before I realized what had happened. Had to take the whole toilet up to get it out. Accidents do happen. |
