For the zone 4 and colder, what have you direct-sown so far? Just wondering, as it has been really warm and I am tempted...

Putzer, I'm in zone 5 (Chicago area) and plan to sow my pea pods, lettuces, spinach, radishes and onions today. We are supposed to hit 85F today but will cool down again late next week. Everything else will probably wait until close to the end of May here.

Alot of my direst sowing is done in the fall for spring germination...also all those poppy power listed can all be done in the fall :)
Other than that I direct sowed 3 types of lettuce and radishes about 3 weeds ago. These are all up and growing :)
