I would say you are right. That's a cool double coreopsis.

Ditto! Have fun. The coreopsis are like little striped turtle shells and the gaillardia are spiky shuttle cocks. Fun to grow and fun to send to new gardeners.

The Coreopsis is probably 'Early Sunrise'...the seeds look like ticks (why the common name is Tickseed).

The Gaillardia seems to be G. aristata...maybe 'Kobold'.

The entire spent/dried flower head will be seeds...no chaff involved to speak of.
