| I haven't spent any time on the WS forum. Earlier today, I talked to someone that told me that it's very easy and that you guys could help convert me. So, where do I go for any notes on what to do? We don't get snow down here in Central Texas very often... is it as easy as putting seeds in a pot and sitting outside? I'm sure that there's something else that I've got to do, too. Keep them moist? Cover them?
Can anyone give me the brief tips on WSing? Thanks... in this forum, I AM a newbie.

| Welcome, xtal! This is a great group of people. Read through the FAQs, and you'll get a wealth of information. For the serious craziness, read the discussion postings. It's amazing what a little bit of observation, experimentation, and a fundamentally GOOD IDEA can turn into (just ask Trudi!). I've wintersown for two years, and IT REALLY WORKS. Laurel |

| Welcome to the forum! Definitely head on over to the 'other side' of this board (you're currently posting on the "Conversations" side of the board, where we chat about everything BUT WSing) to the "Discussions" side. That's where we (try to) stay on topic with whatever's going on in our WS world(s). It IS as easy as you've heard, and you're just in time! It's about 2 weeks away from the 'official gun' for starting WSing. Take it from a former brown-thumb: If I can do it, so can you! Grab a container, fill it with soil, sow your seeds, and wait for your beautiful plants! (Of course, you're going to need WAY more than 1 jug/container...heheh) Come on over! (Hey, isn't that a Shania song?) |

| Hi Xtal! Have not forgotten you...plants and seeds. We are having a bitter cold snap here for 2 days, and then next week we are to have 30 degree nights and 50 degree days...just perfect for my last chance to get your plants 'out', and the last of my bulbs 'in', once the ground thaws. Just wanted to let you know that you are now on the 'top' of my list of things to do yet. Sue |
