Does anyone have seeds of this bush for trade or SASBE? Please check out my list for things I have for trade.

RE: WANTED: elderberries

I could probably get you some seeds from our local native Blue Elderberry (the non-toxic edible one)....there are a few shrubs nearby. Sambucus nigra ssp. caerulea

Here is a link that might be useful: Sambucus caerulea Google images

Vera!
How are you?!? I've gotten seed from you before, the little bluestem, remember? I've wintersowed it already! Are you doing much wintersowing this year?
I will take you up on your offer for the elderberries, look throught my list and see if there is anything you would like to trade or I can send you a SASBE.
You're so nice Vera :-)

Hi Brandy!

I went and checked the one closest to me...around the corner and it's been picked clean by the birds. Haven't made it down to the other one just yet...it's a little longer walk, but I'm thinking the birds probably got to that one to :(

RE: WANTED: elderberries

Brandy,
I have commercial seeds for both American Elderberry and Blue Elderberry. I got overly enthusiastic about planning natives for the birds and now realize that I really don't have enough room for them. I'd be happy to send you half of the seeds from each pack if you send a SASBE. E-mail me.

Martha
