HAVE loofah (luffa) seeds for SASBE. Dried fruit used for loofah bath sponge.
Rec'd 3/12/11 in local trade.
Seeds only being offered, you will need to grow your own bath sponge!
Loofah zone 6+ as annual, z10+ as perennial listed on internet, z6 listed as iffy, z7+ better.

Please check links below, research & make sure your climate is warm enough before requesting. Loofah aka climbing okra. Large vine reportedly covers chainlink fence for privacy, needs space or will take over flowerbed & cross-fertilize with cucumber, squash, pumpkin, gourds, etc, small yellow flowers. Got seeds in local trade, never grown myself.

Enough seeds for several SASBE offers. Please post here so I can keep track of requests.

Hi! I would certainly appreciate some of your Loofa seeds! I should be able to grow them here fairly well in zone 7. I've seen the seeds for sale at various locations around our area. :)

Great, cryptid. I'd like to wait a few days to see if there are other requests. I would need to divide up the seeds & see how much they weigh. Talk to you in a few days, ok? Thanks.

cryptid thank you for posting the luffah growing info! I received some seeds and didn't know how to start them. My son and I are going to experiment in containers.

Do you still have loofah seeds? My mom in Houston can't find any so thought I would check here. If you still have some I will send my info. Thanks, Karen
