I will send you a SASE! I am hoping to start a 'food not lawns' garden in the spring - and would like to use mostly heirloom plants, especially tomatoes. I hope you still have some left! Thanks for sharing! I'm a newbie - so SASE is really great for me right now! I'm including some seed packets I made. Enjoy! Em

Trudi, My winter sown tomatoes from last year fizzled out. I'd like to try them again this year, I have learned from my mistakes. The beefsteaks I got from a box store, I did under lights and had a good harvest until they got the fungus in late August. I'd like: Kellogg's Breakfast ~ Pale-orange beefsteaks can weigh a pound, IND, 80+ DTM Black Brandywine ~ Dark, brick-toned beefsteaks weigh up to a pound, are intensely flavored--a real flavor treat, IND, about 80+ DTM Cherry Tomato Trio ~ Santa, Peacevine, and Tiny Dancer, expect plenty of fruits, IND, 70+ DTM Fireworks ~ Early-season, tasty red fruits weigh about 4 - 6 ounces each, IND, 60 - 70 DTM New Yorker ~ Tasty old variety crops well in short season areas, classic red tomato, DET, 66 DTM Roma Paste ~ Classic plum-shaped tomato grown for decades, good for sauce or salads, IND, 75 - 80 DTM Default: anything you have a surplus of. Sorry for the long post :( La Donna

Trudi, Thank you so much for the time and energy you've put into these wintersown seed packs, I can not imagine all the things that must go into making this happen! This is my second year of W.S. but wow! This must have been how the cavepeople felt after the invention of the wheel!! I have two packages going out your way-one is a request for tomato seeds:-) and the other is a box filled with "extras" some of which are a little chaffy-I hope that's ok? They're all labeled and in baggies:-) Once again THANK YOU! and have a Merry Christmas! Brandy

Trudi - Hope you got the gushy email of thanks I sent to you last week. I only sowed 24 of my seeds since it's a little late in the year to be planting tomato seeds and that many plants will be plenty for us anyway. I sowed just a few of several kinds. 23 have germinated and I think I would've gotten all 24 if our puppy hadn't explored my containers a bit. I'm sure tomato seeds have a reputation for storing well, so I will plant more of them next spring. Thanks again. : )

Trudi, Are you sending them out this year if so i would love some
|
Yes I am! I've made it a permanent part of the WinterSown.Org website. There are way over a hundred varieties to choose from. You need to print out the form, fill it in, and mail it to me with a two-stamp SASE (put 88 cents postage on your returning envelope). I'll paste in the link.
