I am a newbie to Winter Sowing. This will be my first year. I would like to be included in the swap if it is still open. I would love any seeds that will winter sow in zone 6B. I hope to learn alot about Winter Sowing from other members that have experience and this looks like a great way to start.

Oh my gosh. I want in. I'm very new. I only have a little bit of moss rose and tons of morning glory to share. I know, though, that most oldies don't want any more morning glory. I also ordered seed from cheapseeds.com so I'll have five more to share if they come in on time. Please let me know if I can join.

How do I do this? I send a self addressed stamped bubble mailer inside another mailer to you? Is that what you mean by postage or do you mean to send seeds in a bubble mailer with money that covers 20 separate envelopes? How much seed should I include for the seven I can send? The moss rose I collected was from about two seed heads. It has about 37 tiny seeds in it. I might be able to find another head or two out there and dry it out in time to send.

So I'll send a self addressed bubble mailer with two to seven packets of seeds (depending on my cheapseeds.com order arriving by next Wednesday), five stamps, a small wishlist, and put the whole thing inside a regular mailer to send to you. In turn, I'll get a few packets of seeds meant for newbies. And because I'm a newbie, it's okay to send morning glories for other newbies. If that is off, please correct me.

Manda3, it is very confusing I totally understand at first, believe me we have ALL been there. You do not have to send 2 bubble mailers. You do not have to worry about having the 20 packs if you are new to winter sowing or new to the forums. If you would like to contribute that is fine, but I am kinda offering to new members an sasbe (self addressed stamped bubble envelope). Just send a bubble mailer with 4 to 5 stamps included in the mailer along with an address label and your request.

For ones just starting out if you do not have a bubble mailer I am offering you to be able to just send me a regular envelope and include your wish list about 5 stamps and a label. I have some extra bubble mailers that I am happy to share with newbies.

I hope that clears it up a little for you. If you have any questions just ask or shoot me an email.

Ok, I have decided to join. Last year I wintersowed over 500 containers of seeds and hardly anything came up. After reading in the winter sowing site someone asked about soils and said to use potting mix not potting soil so maybe that is where I went wrong. I had a momentary panic attack today. For some reason I thought the seed packs had to be there by Nov 21st.... and that's tomorrow.

Yes, at one time I had a 25 month old and a newborn. You have plenty of time, no worries here.

Looks like we are getting extremely close to the deadline. I know for myself I am getting excited to get started on my part. I would say if you haven't mailed off your bubble mailer, do not fret. I didn't think about thanksgiving when I posted the deadline. So what I am asking is that everyone have their mailers sent off on or before monday the 29th. As soon as I get all the mailers I will get busy organizing and seed sorting. Which I hope to be able to start no later than next friday on december the 3rd. I hope this sounds reasonable to everyone. If anyone has any problems with this just let me know.
