I took some pictures of the columbines in the garden this morning. I love everyone, they've reseeded here for years, sown originally WS from many packs of trade seeds. There are 16 photos, just click on the purple columbine graphic to see the next one.

They are just beautiful, Trudi. I have seeds for many varieties but I haven't sown them again this year. I'm still "on the mend" but ever hopeful that it will all be just a memory soon.
Hugs, Mary

Beautiful, Trudi! I remember the first time I ever saw a columbine - not that long ago; I was in awe at the sheer beauty of it! I wsed my first ones in the winter of 2001 and had great germination, but I didn't really know what I was doing then, and ended up losing them. Since that year, I can't get a columbine seed to sprout for the life of me! I do have two plants now, but they were given to me by a friend - they are from those plants I WSed in 2001. Thank goodness I gave her some!

But I still try every year. I have some seeds right now in the fridge that I'm going to sow this summer; again, the ones I WSed this year have done nothing.

Sorry to go on so, but I really do love this plant! Thanks for posting!
