| about this time of year, my garden starts to look like a jungle! Everything is so big- sunflowers, celosia, amaranths, even the melampodiums :))
I spent most of the weekend cutting back, removing, cleaning and 'shaping up' it's better now- I thought these pics turned out pretty good Linda |

| Yes, PV it's melampodium- they come up volunteer and seem to get bigger each year! I need to move them to the sides of the garden- the poor celosia had to 'stretch' up high to reach the sun - some of them are over 5 ft tall I will try to take pics of them soon-I love the red ones with the big 'cock's comb'- another volunteer that I don't have the heart to pull out (at least not as many as I should-haha) don't know why you have trouble with them- they do love the hot sun- the ones at my Mom's house (in part shade) are about 1/3 the size of these :)) wonder if I could mail you some next summer? Maybe, I will just have to make a trip to NYC and bring them to you! LOL Linda |
