Matsumoto Dark Blue

I love the colors of this aster. It is even darker purple than this picture.

A disappointment at only 8 feet tall (I shouldnt complaint I didnt amend the soil this year and only fertilized a few times). Next year I am bound and determined to grow giants! Found a nice little book called "Secrets of Giant Sunflowers" by Bernard Lavery, and I am going to try some tall varieties like Botts Strain Russian Mammoths and probably Sunzillas.

Thanks.

The Asters are Dark Blue Matsumoto (Callistephus chinensis). I got them at Stokes Seeds, but I plan to save seeds for next year and for some trades. Will post when ready.
