I wish I had more of these, there were only 5 seeds in the packet, and though they all sprouted only 1 made it. Hopefully it will give me enough seeds to have more next year.
It's just finishing it's bloom, the last flower is about to fall off today.

That's a pretty color - did you WS them this year?

I've tried canna twice now and gotten nothing - will be trying again, I'm sure.

Yes PV, they were WS this year. It's an annual canna, suitable for containers, and from Parks. It grew to about 20" tall, in a tub where it had to compete with 2 dwarf sunflowers and some petunias that re-seeded. Next time, I will grow the cannas (being optimistic about seed production) alone in a tub.

I should add that this canna is a perennial, but in my zone I have to treat it as an annual.

I got my seeds from Parks too. Used up all the 'Tropical Rose', but still have some 'Tropical Yellow'. Seems like I remember some other colors too; maybe I just haven't gotten around to cataloguing them yet. And Alberta sent me some seeds for a red one a couple of years ago.

Maybe I'll try the yellow ones next year. I can't let those darn seeds beat me ...
