Saturn peaches, harvested without spraying. I got the tree mostly for the pink spring flowers, but decided to see what the fruit would be like. It tasted like something halfway between a peach and a pear.

I discovered I could train clematis up any pillar without the need for a trellis. The secret is heavy-duty fishing line. It's invisible from 2 feet away, but does a great job of supporting the clematis vine (and later on, the string of Christmas lights).
