Storing 4 O'Clock Seeds

I have some 4 O'Clock seeds that I put in a plastic container and forgot about. They have been in my kitchen all winter. Do these seeds need to be chilled in order to sprout in the spring? They were so pretty last year I'd like to give these little guys another shot at being in my garden.

I'm just going off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure most of the annuals are non-stratification requiring. Put them out any time that's convenient, but they can certainly wait until early spring, if you're busy now. Some large-seeded annuals can rot if they spend too much time in a wet container. If it were me, I'd wait until closer to spring. They are beautiful.

As docmom said, these don't need the chill and may do better for you if you wait a couple of months (or more) to sow in your Z6....
