Today is the day

Today I will finally start my Winter-Sowing. I received my seeds from the swap (Thank you Wendy and other swappers). I ran right out and picked up several bags of potting mix. One more cup of coffee and my hands will be in the dirt.
Glad to get started....I think getting the seeds was just the motivation I needed. (Kinda been a bump on a log (couch) this Winter.

I am itching to get started but here in NW IL, we are still having a day or two of frigid weather followed by days in the 20's/30's. Also, no snow to cover everything up with. I WANT A REAL WINTER!

I did 17 jugs today.
@RyseRyse, you can have some of our snow, there is about 18" out there and that is enough for me for the Winter! lol, Go ahead and get started, last Winter we had barely a flurrie and my perennials did fine.

Got my fill of snow a few years ago when we had two blizzards in a five-day span. We had about six feet of snow just hanging around forever and turning our roads into one-lane cattle chutes.

I prepped a couple of containers yesterday and will start sowing today if I can find the motivation. We're having a bit of a warm spell with temps around 50, going up to almost 60 this weekend.

It sure helps with the winter blahs.

Snow? What does that look like - I forget. We are going up to the 50's/60's this weekend but at least it is supposed to rain. We are still in a dangerous drought. If this keeps up, it will be the second non-winter in a row. I miss the snow!

Ok, warm spell this weekend, in the 50's today and rain. Then back into the 30's. Had to work yesterday, so I am hoping to sow some containers today. This wacky weather sure does make it challenging.
