Hi Katy_bug, what perennials have you sown so far? What do you like? There is such a variety.

I love biennials too - you usually get a great show of blooms the 2nd Spring.

My most successful perennial ever is a purple/pink obedient plant. I got it 20 years ago and it's going strong. I've dug up the garden a few times since, saved a clump and it has thrived every time. It also blooms in August, so when everything else is looking tired, it's a nice burst of color.

My personal favorites are lupines, sweet william, hollyhocks and canterbury bells. The latter two are biennials, I think, but I sow some every year so I've always got some blooming. Also, the biennials sometimes live more than two years.

My new favorite annual is stock. I planted a dwarf version last year, but found a giant for this season, which is more in line with what I want, which is cut flowers. And of course zinnias -- so easy and colorful.

I was just in a very ambitious mood and couldn't believe that I did all my WSing in just one day. I am going to try and control myself so I don't end up with more plants than I can handle. :)
