Can you WS tree peony seeds?

Hi,

Can you WS tree peony seeds? I have some seeds that I won on ebay and was just wondering if they can be WS.

I haven't done it but I should think so if what you have is a species. They self sow so should be OK to winter sow.

Bellarosa, I've sown and grown to flowering paeonia ludlowii (yellow tree form). Sow them in something sturdy, you'll have the pots a while. With that in mind, you might want to also top dress your pot with chick grit to discourage moss, algae from forming on those that will be with us the longest...

Sown fresh in Fall, you might get germination the following Spring. Chances are better that you will find germination after closer to 15 months from sowing, the second Spring.
Put the pots discreetly in among pots holding plants so you will remember to water occasionally over summer, and be patient :) Seeds covered by about 1 inch.
