seed sources that were recommended to me were Diane's Seeds, Cheap Seeds, Swallowtail Seeds and Pinetree Seeds. I ordered from all of them. Seed prices and assortments were good; shipping was fast - got them all in less than a week - and was reasonable. The first year I winter sowed I used a portable greenhouse in a shaded but still pretty bright corner of my yard. I used those small seed starting flats. I had success but was a challenge to keep everything watered. I had good success the next year with the milk jugs and liter soda bottles but I live in a desert climate and they were a pain to keep watered. Now I use styrofoam cups, some small pots and other containers about that size and put them in clear packers. I can keep them on my porch and they are the easiest for me to water. If not for the watering challenges I face, I would have stuck with the milk jugs and pop bottles. I have had to adapt to better suit my growing conditions. Winter sowing is a great way to get alot of pretty tough plants at a pretty reasonable price. Lots of good info in the FAQ and I'm sure lots of people will chime in with tips and advice for you.
