Cheapest place to buy Laura Bush petunia seeds

| All this talk of petunias, and I really want to try WSing some Laura Bush. I just priced at seedman.com and it was $14 for two packs and shipping. Is there a more economical place to buy them? |

| I'm so stinkin excited about doing petunias this year! I'm a total bargain shopper and spend days finding the best price on anything before i buy so i bought almost all my pelleted petunia seeds on ebay and got my laura bush (500 of them) from www.seedman.com for $3.95 plus shipping. |

| Oops, scratch above message, just double checked and i did end up getting them on ebay. Just type "laura bush petunia seeds" in the search spot and has great deals! I got 500 seeds for $1. |

| I definitely would sow them. Read about a gal that had some tucked in the back of her closet and forgot about them for 3 years. Sooooo she figured "what the heck" and tossed em in her garden and she swore they all germinated she had so many! |

| I ended up buying from Groco Seeds on Ebay: 1000 Laura Bush petunia seeds, 550 celery seeds, 240 cat grass seeds, 875 lettuce seeds, 100 beefsteak tomato seeds, 120 bells of ireland seeds, 700 cabbage, 1000 of an ornamental grass called june grass, 330 joe pye weed, 300 blue sage, 1175 DWARF shasta daisy, 140 coleus mix, 4000 oriental red poppy, and 220 Mary Washington asparagus. Grand total $17.80 plus $2.35 shipping. Not too shabby. |

| Got mine at Groco too. The pic they have for their laura bush looks purple to me, hoping it's really magenta. |

| I will be happy with either color, but I too noticed the lighter purple color of the flowers. I actually prefer thatn to the magenta, but I wondered if the photo was not correct. |

| I received my seeds from GroCo today. Shipping was quick, seeds were packaged nicely, even included two extra packs. However, packs were definitely shorted on seeds. For example, there were supposedly 100 seeds in the beefsteak packet. There were less than 50. Others are obviously shorted as well. I would have rather had the correct number of seeds verses extra packs. |
