How to post a photograph on the forum:

First, you have to store a copy of the photo on a website which hosts photos. There are lots of free ones. I use PhotoBucket.com

Once your photo is stored on the web, simply copy the URL of the image, which is it's web location, and paste it into the statement below, in place of ImageURL. Also remove the spaces to the right of

    I just started posting pics. on this site a few weeks ago (before seeing this thread) and I used the HTML Tag on Photobucket. You don't have to remove any spaces or anything - one click to select, then copy and paste. I figured that HTML would be compatible with this site and it works. Anyone else use this method?

  • donn_

    Bern..you got it right posting the link to the pic. Now take that same URL and stick it into the HTML Image Source statement, like this:

    I added a space after so the statement wouldn't execute. Remove those spaces, and you get this:

    {{gwi:351333}}

    Since you're using PhotoBucket, there's an easier way. Directly below each thumbnail in PhotoBucket, there are three sets of tags for pasting pics. Simply select the middle one, labeled HTML Tag with your mouse. A small yellow box will come up saying "Copied." The tag is now in your clipboard. Come back to the post on the forum, and hit CTRL-V to paste it in.

    Darlababy..I saved your pic, sized 1024 x 768 and uploaded it to my Photobucket account. I have it set to a maximum upload size of 800 x 600. This is how that looks:

    Donn, I tried resizing the above to 800X600 and it still looks much larger than the one that you resized. I'm new to the whole digital camera and photobucket thing- how do I change it so that everything uploads to a max size of 800X600? Also, since it doesn't look like resizing the existing photos to 800X600 makes any difference when I post them here, is there a way to change those existing pictures? Thanks so much for your willingness to help!

    Monica..copy the URL of the album on PhotoBucket, and paste it into the "Optional Link URL" line below the post's message box. Give it a name, and preview it. If all is well, post it.
