White annual flowers

I wanted to ws some white flowers for my wedding in September. Can anyone give me advice on the whitest flowers out there? I am looking at some zinnias but the reviews say that they come out more milky white than bright and I want to avoid that. Of course bigger is better but I know I can't ask for everything. I guess annuals is probably what I'll be dealing with unless it's a perennial that blooms first year. Thanks.

I think White Cosmos would be lovely. White zinnias are more creamy than bright clean white. White Snapdragons would do nice too. Are you also going to have any accent colors, perhaps to compliment the colors worn by the bridal party or to match your party tablecloths?

How about some mums? Is Sept too early for mums in your area? Are you looking to grow stuff from seed by then, or to buy the flowers or plants?

i want to grow them from seed. I've been wsing for a few years but haven't done annuals yet, so I don't have a lot of experience with them (obviously). The other colors are a dark blue and a light green. But I was thinking of keeping the flowers white and as bright a white as I can. I;ll take any suggestions though. Mums may be early and the hydrangeas that I have are just a little too late. Thanks again.

I second the snapdragon idea. I've even grown a variety that was called something like "Bridal Veil" or "Wedding White". That was years ago, but I remember it was a beautiful, tall plant with tons of blooms. You could trim the plants back about 3-4 weeks before the wedding and have fresh blooms just in time. I think you can also grow white carnations, but they might be perennial--and a bit common. Queen Anne's Lace might be available in September, or you could definitely do petunias--though they might not hold up well in a bouquet. Are there white Gerber Daisies? Or African Daisies. The African ones come with a gorgeous bluish-purple center. What ever you decide to try, I'd plant at least twice as many as you think you'll need. And it would probably be a good idea to plant several options so you have SOMETHING blooming when the wedding rolls around.

I did some more searching for fun. The African Daisy would definitely be a better choice that the Gerber. Gerber apparently take a long time to germinate. I also found several annual asters that come in beautiful bright whites. Also Ranunculus (sp?). Just do a Google search for white annual flowers and see what pops up. Good luck.
