Be very, very careful. Collecting seeds is even more addictive than wintersowing. Before you know it your entire house will be littered with paper plates and bowls full of seeds drying. And then you'll be haunting the seed exchange forums and hosting round robin exchanges. And then you have to find the best way to keep your seeds organized. And on and on and on. Have fun!

Right now you're on the Winter Sowing Forum. There is also a Round Robin forum here. This is where someone will post an opportunity to join a group of people who want to trade or gift something. There are many regular round robin groups. I'm part of Seed and Stitches. Each month someone volunteers to host and they come up with something to share. One month we each made 1 to 3 potholders. Then the host shuffles the names of everyone who signed up and you send your potholder to the person assigned to you. The month made include also sending some seeds or a garden item, it all depends on what the host posted. This month we are exchanging fat quarters only, which is a particular cut of fabric. Head on over with the link below and you can read through the round robins to get an idea. There are more complicated Round Robins, which I believe are truer to the name, but I don't want to confuse you at first. LOL
