Ok, I know this is probably OT. But I figure it's a good place to ask since most of you are or have ordered seeds this winter. But I ordered from Cherrygal 10 days ago and haven't gotten any shipping confirmation yet. I know it was received. I got confirmation but there were some problems. I just wondered how things are most places? I ordered from Diane's the same day and got the order only a few days later! I know that's super fast. But I don't know how long to wait before asking them how long to expect. Anyone have any advice?

I have made 3 orders so far this year and they were all Confirmed within 3 days with confirmation # as well. I got them all within 14 days. Gyrney's Pinetree Harris seed You can email them and ask for the info. I know I would find out if I had waited that long with no word from them at all! |

I ordered seeds from Diane's & Hazzards. Both arrived in 5-7 days after ordering. Shipping confirmation received from Hazzards same day I placed the order which was New Year's Eve.

Shame you didn't catch another thread I was talking about the same thing dealing with her. Though I even have to say it didn't take me 10 days to receive a shipping confirmation. Send her an email!! One day go read some of the things they say about her on Dave's garden watchdog list. She has horrible ratings.

Crap. I wish I had! I placed an order first and then got an email from her saying my paypal didn't go through and to send other info. I got pretty upset because I had confirmation from my paypal that it did go through. It was some error on her part. I was worried about two transactions trying to go through paypal and screwing up the account I use with it. because I had an order confirmation from her with one order number on it and then she was writing me about an order with another order number. But I ordered from her because she had a variety of interesting vegetable seeds I wanted that I didn't see a lot of other places like the purple and yellow podded peas. Any suggestions for a better place to order unusual vegetable seeds? Can you give me a link to this thread about her? Thanks!

I've never heard of the company so I looked at their homepage. My GAWD!!! I would never EVER do business with an online company that offers a discount for cash. How cheezey is that. Ugh.

I was an idiot in my defense and the helleobore nigra sold me. I will never go back to her again. I want to say it took close to a month to get my seeds!! I also ordered in an off season time!! Tradewindsfruitstore.com tsflowers.com rareseeds.com cheapseeds.com prairiemoon.com

I wrote her and she wrote back and just sent a note saying my seeds will be shipped Monday. I never saw anything about a discount for cash. I'll know better next year. I hope the seeds aren't total crap. :/

I'm waiting on an order from Cherry Gal, too. I ordered and paypal'd on the 13th, got an email with a tracking number on the 26th saying it had been shipped, and it was somewhere in NC as of yesterday. Sometimes when I order something from my own state, it's sent to another state before it comes back here so maybe the seeds have to float around NC for a while before they head west. I just assume it's a very busy time for most seed vendors so I'll try to ignore her negative reviews and be patient. And no, I didn't check the watchdog list before hand as I usually do, so I'll have to blame myself if my seeds don't show up, I guess(sigh).

i order from rareseeds.com a lot and fid them very quick. i also really like this ebay store. even though they are in england, i usually get my seeds in under 2 weeks, and they have an awesome selection at really competitive prices. i have had very good luck with seeds from both places http://shop.ebay.com/bobtodd1/m.html

Has anyone ordered from Plant World Seeds and know how long it takes to receive orders? I've purchased stuff from eBay, but wasn't familiar with bobtodd1. I'll have to check out their selection.

Takes approx 2 weeks to receive a Plant World order, give or take 1 or 2 days. I think the order I rec'd this month came on the 16th day and that incuded MLK holiday post office closure.

Saponaria, I ordered several seeds from cherry gal. Well I know the lupinus perennis I ordered is ok. I was out checking today and I got germination on a few seeds from her, though I am the type if I get one plant out of 15 seeds I am ok with it.

I got my seeds this morning, nicely packaged. The rarer and smaller seeds even had an extra wrapper inside the seed packet. Yes, it took a little over 2 weeks, but I still don't think that's too bad, since there was a tracking number I could check on. I went back to the website and noticed that the cash discount is for money orders not 'real' cash...probably to offset the cost of MO's. I have no doubt the Velvet Red tomato seeds will sprout, cuz tomato seeds WANT to sprout, lol. The other two packs are a shot in the dark, but they didn't cost much to try...Mignonette, and Hinnomaki gooseberry. I'll probably WS some and start some inside just to cover the bases. Saponaria, I hope you get your seeds soon and they grow well for you. |

Cherrygal is super! I have ordered seeds from her many times, I found her on eBay and then realized she had a website. Don't forget Cherrygal is one gal, the rest of the places you speak of mostly are companies. So snags may happen, there's only one person who gets to sort it all out. This is probably not her full-time job, either :)
