Heat Wave!

It's already 54 degrees outside, and supposed to be a high of 65..hope this helps to germinate some of my flower seeds. I would have thought I'd had germination by now. I have checked the ones on the breezeway and will check them ones stashed away in the back flower beds this afternoon when we get back from Drs. appt. and grocery store. Yesterday was so nice too..and hopefully it will continue..I am so ready for Spring-like weather! I know this is only mid Feb. but I have either tulip or daffadils popping through the frozen ground. They look like tulips, almost like hyacinths but I know I haven't planted any of those bulbs. Did plant some allium..maybe it is those? Will see if I can't find a picture of that plant so I can quit guessing.

Hope the weather is the same in your area and those people that have so much snow will get some relief and help in the snow and ice melting.

Our snow is gone here, and porch sitting season officially started yesterday! Hooray!

No sprouts here yet, but the snow and ice is almost all gone from the containers, and it is MUCH warmer! Planning for the lasagne bed is coming along nicely, and my first photo class was great - learned some things about this wretched camera - where to find f-stops, depth of field chart, etc.
COME ON< SPRING!!!!!!

Most of the snow is gone. But here in NJ, we can get another storm before March is over. However, it won't last long.

Nothing sprouting.

RE: Heat Wave!

The 3 ft. deep snow on my garden has shrunk the past couple of warm days. Finally found rock salt at the hardware store so maybe I can get rid of some of the ice. Melted snow has to drain away somewhere so I'm not too hopeful I'll see bare pavement or cement yet awhile.

The snowtel jugs are tipping as the snow beneath them either melts or evaporates and I've been relocating them before they tip all the way over. The second layer of jugs is slowly becoming visible but the original jugs are still buried. I won't see sprouts for at least two more weeks, possibly three but it won't be much longer. Felt strange to be outside sprinkling rock salt around in just a long-sleeved shirt.

Feel free to send more of this nice weather my way pippi21!
