Can anyone recommend a good place to purchase daylilly or butterfly bush seeds? Can they be found at the seed racks at retail stores? I've gotten almost all of the seeds I want to WS this year but am missing these.

bookjunky4life - I've got BB seeds if you want them for postage. I harvested them from a couple of mine but didn't bother to keep the seeds separate so they'd be a mix. Let me know if you're interested. Can't help with the daylily seeds other than to offer you lots of 'Happy Returns' seeds I harvested. Those are the lemon yellow version of Stella d'Oro. I grew them from seed indoors in 2008 and they bloomed last summer.

Parks Seed has daylily seeds, I think they are a tetraploid mix. A few years back I sowed a packet of butterfly bush seeds from Renee's Garden and thought they were just so pretty when they bloomed, which almost all of them did their first year, but the following years they were just magnificent. A few months back I whacked all of them down to knee height as they were getting HUGE.

Try the Lily Auction for daylily seeds. You can find some good ones for decent prices on there, then there's the ones, depending on the cross, that go for big bucks. Also, lots and lots of the plants themselves to choose from. The place is addictive for anyone who loves daylilies, or just getting into them. Karen

T's seeds has a great price on daylily seeds. I especially like here mixed packet, but she also sells ones where she identifies both parents. Lynda
