| AC Moore still carries the Deco Paint pens with the fine point. They have them in quite a few colors, but from personal experience, I suggest only using the black.
Price was $4.49 each, I realize that isn't cheap, but again from personal experience and this is my 9th year WS, the Deco Paint pens are the best on the market, worth the price. I'm still using labels from 2003, and many of them have been outside in full sun, buried under several feet of snow, gone through the heat and humidity of a New England Summer, the ravages of flooded front yards, back yards, and if you saw the labels you would think I just did them. I picked up a couple of extras myself today. Fran |

| I will keep an eyeball open for them. I wonder if they are available in Canada, in a regular store, and not specialty. Are they considered a craft supply? How would you categorize them? |

| Trishcuit, You may be able to find them in an art supply store, or a hardware store besides a craft store. I find them in AC Moore with the paint supplies for artists. You want to be sure that you buy the decocolor opaque pens/markers. You don't want the acrylic ones or the ones used to paint on fabric. I'm posting a link to the company that manufactures the deco paint pens/markers. they list some places in Canada to buy them and you can google the product and see what comes up for you that you can order on line from as well. | Another, much less expensive, indelible marker option is one called simply 'Garden Marker' made by Gro-Mark garden products. They're available in most good nurseries or garden stores & usually cost about $2.50 (retail) or thereabouts. When I unexpectedly took over management of a grow nursery, all of their labels had been marked with Sharpie pens. Consequently, it took a full season to identify various plants, or their cultivars! I found these at one of our w/s suppliers & they are absolutely impervious to wear from the elements, even in a commercial setting! I've since found them in numerous garden stores & wouldn't be without them. I'd personally save my money on something like this in order to buy more seed or plants! Hope this info is helpful. |

| For a third option: I've been using Elmer's (the glue people) paint pens because for me they were easier to find than the Deco. Started using them last winter, and nothing's faded yet. So they will last at least long enough to keep WS containers labeled. When the markers I have run out I'll go looking again for the Deco. |
