I went in this store today. Lo & Behold...I found racks of seeds 50% off. This was first time in the store. I don't know what this store is called in other states? Walmart and HD still no seeds.

Holy crap, it's on the tail end of their flyer! 50 cents to a 1.49.

The Christmas Tree Shops is what they're called here. I've attached a link.

I would have never thought to check them out. Good find!

Here is a link that might be useful: Sales Flyer Christmas Tree Shops

Most of the time this store is in an outlet mall but there is one in the Clearwater, Fla. area that is not in a mall and it is the best Christmas Shop I've ever been into. You could spend half of a day there just looking. Also Callahans, in Calabash, NC has a large and great Christmas tree ornament section.

Just got back from TCTS, they had a wonderful assortment of seeds, even some I have never seen on a rack, like capers.

I've been a big fan of TCTS since I discovered them on Cape Cod over a decade ago. Only about 20% of the store is dedicated to the current "holiday" - - Christmas, Easter, Halloween, whatever - and the rest is a great mix of household stuff. The quality of that household stuff use to be a whole lot better, but I do find lots of great garden items there.

I stopped in one off the NYS thruway a few weeks ago and bought a ton of seeds, all less then a dollar a pack. I also got a bunch of flexible pails (super bendable and tough with built in side handles)for weeding and mixing potting mix for a whole lot cheaper than the catalogs sell them. If you have access to a TCTS you should stop by and take a look.

Look at what this post made me do, lol! Stop being such an enabler...

oh you are going to LOVE those Mahogany Nasties!!!! They are workhorses at the front of my beds. Great flowing (not sprauling) habit, makes neat mounds that hang over just right onto the walkway. Nasties are the ONLY seed I direct sow instead of winter sow. Easy as pie and they never disappoint. The Mahagony's are my favorite varaity.

The name alone made me get a couple of packs! One of my favorite childhood books! Not to mention my Glam Chick Flick!

I had always assumed TCTS was exactly that, a christmas store. :-) I just found out yesterday that there's one about 20-25 minutes from me. I'll have to make a trip there!

I'm wishing I picked up the Genovese Tomato seeds I saw there. Supposed to be a fantastic sauce making tomato, and fresh eating.
