Some veggies such as eggplant, Okra, beans etc etc which the seed instruction says to plant 1 or 2 week after danger of frost has passed away. Some of these veggies are also 60 -70 days to mature. So you can sow them in end of may and harvest them by end of july beginning of august. For such crops is there any advantage in WSing, starting in April to get a head start etc or you just go directly in ground outside?

I'm WSing my warm season stuff now. I am just getting my first tomato, pepper, eggplant and okra sprouts. I plan to keep them in containers outside so I can bring them indoors if the weather gets too cold. Hoping to get a jump start on harvest this year, too. Good luck!

I started my tomatoes, peppers, a couple of squash and some basil in pots in the house. I've been moving them from a South Window to a West Window and leaving them under a light when the sun sets. I planned on doing what paperfinch is planning, leaving them out during the day in the sun when it was warm enough, but it's been very cold. If it warms up soon, I'll put them out for the day and bring them in for the night. I have two pots of tomato sprouts, a summer squash and basil germinated so far, but no peppers. I'm also wanting to get a head start this year and have an early harvest if possible.
