| First year WS, so I'm really excited to get sprouts!! HOWEVER, I sowed bachelor buttons with gazanias, balsams, and cosmos. The buttons are the only ones that have sprouted so far and already have their first set of true leaves. I'm hoping to bring them to a seed swap in June. Should I transplant into pots now, leave them outside or inside an enclosed but uninsulated back porch, and bring them to the swap in June?
Did I WS the other seeds too early? Is that why they haven't sprouted, or has is just been too cold for them to start? Will they even sprout??? Thanks for any insights you can give me! |

| Hi, congratulations on your sprouts! I don't know about the others you mentioned, but re batchelor button- Since you will be keeping it to June, I definitely suggest you put it in a pot, or in the ground, until June, but I wd not keep it in that container til June. My BB's are ready to transplant too. |

| Holy moly, I was outside yesterday moving my containers to make room for all this snow we're getting. I saw green in one of my containers, it's bachelor's buttons. Now developing their second set of leaves. How did I miss it? Trying not to worry, if they greened up in all this freezing weather they should be okay? |

| Yes, batchelor buttons will be fine. They are one of the first to sprout for me, and not a worry about the cold or snow. |

| yep same here, first to sprout and my winters dont bother them at all they usually out-grow the containers before I can manage to go out in the cold and dig a hole for them... |
