Green pepper sprout

I have one very healthy sprout. It still has the lid on and is in an area that will become shaded as the trees fill back in. How do I know when to take the lid off so it doesn't fry? Is the lid keeping it warm during the cooler nights? Does it not matter at this point? When will it be able to handle the full sun area where it will be planted?

RE: Green pepper sprout

You are in Zone 7b, so you are much warmer than my zone. I know they don't like the cold. So if you are still have frost, don't plant it out.
