| Came across this one while doing yard cleanup today. My rough garden map doesn't show anything in this spot. Curious if it is even something I planted.
Thanks for your help,

These are forget-me-nots. May have volunteered from a neighbors garden if they are not in your plans. Pretty little blue blue flowers in early spring. Enjoy!

Thanks Susie! Looks like I got myself a volunteer. Checked my seed records and I didn't sow this one. Look forward to seeing the blooms. ~stlgirl

I don't think these are forget-me-nots, if you are referring to Myosotis. Myosotis don't have toothed leaves and the leaf surface is slightly furry, not smooth and fleshy like the leaves in the pictures. Nor do they have the prominent mid rib. I don't know what this plant is but I suspect a Cruciferous weed. If it flowers with a stem topped by a bunch of small white 4 petalled flowers, my hunch is correct. If not, maybe you can post again with a pic of the blooms.

I think it's a weed too. If by forget me not you mean cynoglossum, it doesn't look like that either. Karen

I thought it might be a weed though it is unlike any weed I have seen here in St. Louis. I did some looking at different weed pics and wonder it may be some sort of sorrel. ~stlgirl

Alright I think I may finally have figured this one out. Looks to me it might be horseweed. Apparentely it is a winter annual that is on the rise due to mild winters. And by the size of my plant it looks as though it manage to germinate last fall. ~stlgirl

Yep, that looks like it. Karen

It doesn't look like Horseweed (Conyza canadensis) to me. That has fuzzy foliage and stems and the basal leaves are spoon-shaped and toothed. Your plant has neither characteristic from what I can see. My current hunch is Field Pennycress - Thlaspi arvensis. It is a particularly lush specimen, presumably because it is an garden bed with no competition and good soil.

I agree that it is definitely not horseweed.
