too late for annuals? Very warm spring

I bought a few packages of annuals (zinnia, marigolds, and cosmos). I threw them in a drawer a few weeks ago and forgot about them. Just wondering if I can still winter sow them. Temps in my are are WAY above normal the today it's 65, then down in the 40s for two days, then back up in the mid 60s. Crazy, but I'm loving it.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Perfect time for annuals. Just watch them and throw a cover over them in case of late frost after they germinate.

Consider that you might be early and not late! The zinnias will not really like temps below 70, so while they may germinate in your snug WS containers/jugs it is likely they will just "hang out" and not really grow much till it's warmer. My rule of thumb is not before Easter on the Zinnias in my garden. When it's warm they grow quickly, so I never feel like I am missing out on anything by waiting till it is warmer. And I keep sowing batches till the end of july. I like cut zinnias in vases till the fall.
