Congratulations Karen!! Happy sprout dance happening! That's great news--are any of those seeds I sent you? Guess I should go check my containers again. Not too many sprouting here with this frigid weather.

The gallardia from you is still waiting to sprout. The ones that sprouted were a pack I collected from one plant I had.

I think yours are next.

The rest are still dormant for now...

I am hopeful spring is on the way.

All the painted daisy and foxglove I sowed last year is coming back nicely in the garden beds. I hope those bloom this year.

I'm in zone 5/6 here and just found a few sprouts outside today too - sweet peas and canterbury bells. Sweet peas never seem to mind the cold much but I was surprised to see the canterbury bells and their tiny delicate seeds starting to open. It's pretty cold here for March and even though this is the time I would expect to see sprouting, with the 20 degree weather we've had I'm shocked anything decided to grow! LOL*

We had some warm days recently so that might be why I have sprouts.

I was happy but glad everything did not sprout. I am lazy and don't like watching them etc...

Now I am browsing for interesting tomato seeds and tomato plants. I want a big crop this year. too many to eat would be nice lol

Karen - do you want the tomato seeds I harvested from my grape tomato and Stupice fruit last year? I've got about 3 trades' worth I could send you. I accidentally spilled them on my desk so they may be mixed together but once they take off, you'll know which is which--the grape tomatoes (from Diane's Flower Seeds) grew 9 ft. tall last year. I think the seaweed extract/worm poop tea I fed them might have been part of the reason they grew so tall. Anyway, they're yours for postage.
