Kids will also enthusiastically eat greens and veggies that they have a part in growing. With childhood obesity rates so high in this country, you've made a public health contribution!

Nice! So much fun! I like the ribbon with directions.

I have done this with K thru 4th grade classes for two years now, and I would also add to have a demo jug for students to hold and weigh before planting.

Students scoop what they think is 3" of soil, but they don't press it down. Holding a demo jug, they have a visual and a feel for how much soil is needed.

Also, Goodwill and Savers are AWESOME places to get slotted spoons and big serving spoons for scooping soil.

Got a good laugh this morning. One of the mom's from my daughter's preschool told me she spent the weekend dumpster diving at the recycling center, and says this method is soooo easy, that she may have to go back and get some more!

Love it, let us know when the kids get sprouts.

I had one mom tell me this morning that they already had sprouts. Thinking to myself that this seemed awefully fast (5 days), I said, "You did put the jug outside, right?" The reply, "Oh, not yet." Then, I hear the same thing from several other moms. I explained that this is a tough love gardening approach, and to hurry up and put those jugs outside, so that they didn't have to harden their sprouts off later.

Leave it to the parents, to not follow the directions, LOL! I should have told the KIDS to put the jugs outside!!!

Those little bodies are very vulnerable to toxins.
