| Several of the seedlings in my winter sowing jugs made the move into permanent containers or into the ground today. Everything is growing so fast this year because of the warm winter. At least now I have some empty jugs to use to plant a few more things... I planted close to 100 jugs but didn't quite make the 100 mark so now I can!
I think I will need a nice warm bath this evening... Jeanne |

| Lucky you!!! I have lots that need to go in ground now but its still too wet out there. More rain expected later this week so perhaps by next week I'll get to plant out too! I'm going to have to take the tops down tomorrow, another 80* |

| I'm jealous! Can you believe it, this Z8b is snowing. It's not sticking, the streets are wet, but big fat fluffy flakes have been falling hard for about 3 hours now. 35F |

| You inspired me - Flanders poppies went in the ground today. They are oh so tiny; we'll see if they survive the slugs! |

| So far everything I have transplanted is looking good and more jugs have sprouted. Out of the 94 jugs that I planted prior to today, 46 have plants growing in them. I know more will come up soon. I always have great success with winter sowing - the problem is keeping the plants going during our hot, dry summers. I planted several types of tomato seeds on March 2nd and so far only one type has sprouted - the oldest ones from 2008. (I am trying to be careful and not plant too many - guess who has over planted them before?) Wish I could see your snow, morz8. I am nearly certain we have no chance of any this winter! |

| I am envious of your Zone Temps. Sandlapper, I like the idea of recycling right after sowing. I am in need of at least 15 more jugs. The morning frost is still a bit harsh, I will wait another 2-weeks. |
