Congrats, Katy! It never gets old, but the very first year, since you only half believe in it at first, it's doubly exciting. :)

Isn't that fun - I'm never indifferent to seedlings, it's a miracle every time. What a great little package a seed is :)

I have sprouts too. I am so excited. This is my first time trying this. Here are some pictures. I am a little worried that I put too many seeds in each container but plan to move some of the bigger sprouts to biggger containers this week. Still no coneflowers yet.

My tops are starting to come off! I am super excited. I went ahead and cut large vents in all my containers but am leaving the tops on until I see some sprouts.

Coneflowers have been one of my slower sprouters so don't give up hope. I have started taking a few tops off - my white yarrow was hitting the top of the container. Night time temps in the 40's this week so should be okay. I get excited every time I see new sprouts, no matter how many I've already seen.

I planted out today. I planted the Tidytips, Poached egg plant, and some Nigella. The Nigella was overwhelming too many sprouts.
