Newbie here - when do I open up the milk jugs to 'harden off'?

This is my first year WS, and I am thrilled to have LOTS of seedlings out there in my 96 milk jugs! (And yes, the kids joined me in the Happy Sprout Dance.) So.....now what? I'm still sowing stuff (annuals) and will be for another few weeks (tender annuals), but what do I do with my lovely hollyhock, alyssum, sweet pea, evening primrose, and other sproutlings? Do I leave them all closed up in the milk jugs for a while yet (yes, the lids are off)? When do I cut open the tape and let them start getting some fresh breezes? They're still pretty small yet, but I don't want them getting claustrophobic. Of course once I open them up I'll have to move the jugs to keep my pesky ducks out of the sprouts or they'll think it's a salad bar just for them. I do know that I can plant out once they have their second set of true leaves, I just wasn't sure when to start hardening off.
