Holy heatwave , batman - 80 degrees tomorrow

ALL of the tops are coming off - supposed to be 80 degrees tomorrow. All of my winter sowing was done in styrofoam cups in clear packers. With the lids on I could just stack them. Spent the afternoon coming up with a plan for the containers that would allow them all to get light and ventilation but still not let them blow away in the high winds we get nearly every afternoon. I have 14 packers on my porch - don't take up much room stacked - but with lids off and spread out I barely have a walking path. Some are just about big enough to plant out and some will be going to the neighbor. Now the challenge will be keeping them all watered until I get them in the ground.

I am always encouraging folks to "go vertical" with shelving units. I have a collection of them I've picked up at yard sales and thrift stores over the years and I find it's a great way to winter sow! 6-8 jugs on each shelf, 4 shelves high for me.
