Winter sow grasses

I am trying grasses for the first time this year. One of them is Ornamental Millet - Purple Majesty. I believe this is an annual in my zone, but can it be winter sown? Don't have much time left but it's still quite cool here. Thank you.

I've ws'd a bunch of grasses. Mostly native prairie grasses like Big and little blue stem, Indian grass, etc. My experience has been that they are very easy to germinate.

Not sure about millett, but warm season grasses must have warm temps before they will sprout. IIRC they will sprouted in late April or so. They are also late emerging in the spring.
